“If you like sweet, hot and smokey, you are going to love this.”
This sweet chipotle sauce can be used as a marinade for fish, steak, chicken, or pork.
It also has many other uses as well so if you are looking for that smoky sweet spicy flavor, give this a try. This recipe is even great as a hot sauce or salsa with chips.
You can also use it as a chipotle mayonnaise spread by add some to mayonnaise and mixing it in. It’s delicious on sandwiches.
Because we are making this from scratch, it does not contain any wheat and is gluten free which cannot be said for the canned version I see in the grocery store.
The beauty of this recipe is that you can customize it any way you want. Whether you want it more sweet or spicy hot, you are in control.
You can add more brown sugar if you like it sweeter or you can even use honey if you like.
To control the spicy heat, add more or less of the chipotle chiles.
